Volunteers between the ages of 16-65years old who can easily adapt to a new environment and are resourceful and matured.
Volunteers who have interest in other peoples' cultures and are committed to building peace.
Volunteers regardless of their religious affiliations and speaking little English since English is the official language in Ghana. |
| WHY SHOULD I PAY TO VOLUNTEER ? |
I.C.D.C.E. is a registered Non-profit Organization. The money you pay goes into the below;
- Air port pick-up
- Feeding
- Orientation
- Language course
- Accommodation
- Hospital Bills(Minor cases only)
- Traveling to Tourist attractions Centers(Transportation Only)
- Staff Allowance
- Donation to vulnerable children
- Certificate of Participation.

| WHERE WILL I LIVE DURING MY STAY IN GHANA ? |
| You will be living in a Host Family or a Host Project. I.C.D.C.E. Host Families and Host Projects have opened their homes to all I.C.D.C.E. volunteers to live and work without any obstacles. They will provide food and shelter from your day of arrival till your day of departure and help you to learn the Local Ghanaian Languages. |

| WHAT SHOULD I BRING ALONG ? |
- Mosquito net is very important to prevent malaria.
- Volunteers are also advised to immune themselves against Malaria before arriving in the Ghana since malaria is common in Africa.
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Other personal belongings such as Camera for your pictures, Mobile phone to reach your family, Games, toys and information from your country to assist the children in Learning.
- Due to the warm weather in Ghana, volunteers are advised to bring light clothing. Read more about the weather in the Ghana National profile.

| WILL I HAVE A CONTACT PERSON ? |
I.C.D.C.E. will provide each volunteer with a contact person who will ensure the safety of the volunteer from time to time and address all problems that may arise.
I.C.D.C.E. is very particular about the safety of their volunteers. |

| CAN I EXTEND MY VISA ? |
| I.C.D.C.E. will always be ready to assist volunteers to extend their visas at anytime upon request. |

| CAN I HAVE A HEALTH AND TRAVEL INSURANCE ? |
Volunteers are advised to buy their own health and Travel Insurance before arriving in Ghana.
However I.C.D.C.E. will help volunteers to settle their Hospital bills in only minor cases. |
